Why did he write it?
|
How the third During thetime period that he was writing the Black Water Pond series he was the Police Chief of the Grand Rapids International Airport. He connects the theme to his life on a daily base'ess. His life was basically a action adventure as a police cheif serve and protect that was his duty. He created a book of his family and how the main character is just like him. He thinks he needs to put others before him. Save the lives forget the prize and move for a better objective. While working on the book he had 2 kids both boys and added them into the series as ,"Brian the older brother and Tommy the younger brother". He built the characters around his own kids. What they did, how there attitude was toward each other, every piece every detail described through out the series. The setting through out the story it allways points to there house on a farm with a large pond. The house the pond its all real but what he did was add a twist to the setting by creating a portal in the bottom of the pond that was a one way trip to another world. As the kids were growing up they had a lizard and how cool it would be to be like a lizard person. So it sparked a the creation of the second book and the plot and how it would end. The third book was created for a unknown reason but the best we can think is to make a trilogy.
